Trading Cards are not my main area of interest, but I have got the three sets of Spaceshot cards. I was wondering what else is available that you all collect? Is anyone producing cards now of a similar type and quality as the SPaceshots cards? |

I have all three sets of the Spaceshots cards as well. Funny thing about those cards. When they originally came out they also sold press sheets that were signed by different astronauts in limited editions. Being the perfect piece to get signed (easy to carry and store and easy to conceil as well) I tried with several astronauts. Every one told me they were not allowed to sign those cards which to me meant that they were under contract so I stopped trying. A year or so I was at a signing and several people were getting those cards signed. I was told by several people that whatever deal they had with the persons pictured on the cards was not honored so it is up to the individuals pictured on the cards as to whether they will sign these cards or not. I have seen similar cards recently that appear to be embossed, but I don't know the company that produces them.Cliff |

.. I do know that with the "SpaceShots" cards there was an insert in some packs with the Apollo 8 Earthrise Hologram that was signed and numbered by James Lovell,as I have one of those.. but thats the only autograph I know of that was included with the set. Many years ago I asked Alan Shepard to sign one, which he did without question.. as did Fred Haise in 1998. There are other nice cards that come with the " Moonshot" game as well as the "Monopoly" Space Edition.. |

I noticed on Gene Cernan's private signings with Novaspace that he wouldn't sign Space Shots, though I know he used to, as I have one and have seen another. I don't really know what would be the problem with signing them. I haven't seen another astronaut have a no signing policy towards them-unless you count not signing anything at all, which would cover half the people in the sets. Unfortunately most people doing private signings have priced themselves out of the range of space shot cards. |

I certainly appreciate when an astronaut signs one of my spaceshot cards as they are my favorite space item to collect. And when they personalize them, it's even 10 times better for me. I also respect when an astronaut says, "I don't sign them [or space covers]." |

Looking for series 1, # 60 and 67. I would send a self-addressed stamped envolope for transport. Any help would be great in fishing my set. Thanks. |
