Hello collectors, I have a file with plastics containing the first edition 8X10 lithos of NASA's first 160 astronauts man & woman alike ... all in pristine condition UNSIGNED ... what would be the value of this as I want to swap it with a pair of Flown Russian Sokol spacesuit gloves ? Thanks for looking ! |

Philip It is difficult to place a exact price on the photos. It is what a person is willingly to pay for them and how rare of photo it is. I seen on EBAY auction the lowest price is $5 to $10-$19 on Yahoo auction. What kind of picture do you have? Do have the following astronaut portrait in a Apollo suit?...Vanc Brand, Roger Chaffee, Robert Crippen, Don Eisele, Anthony England, Jack Lousma,Thomas Mattingly, Story Musgrave, Paul Weitz, and John Young? |

The collection contains mostly NASA lithos up to Apollo-Skylab, STS are mostly lithos but some are photos ... All astronauts' official photo for their first mission; Mercury 7 in civil clothes, Most Gemini astronauts in Silver suit or civil, All actual-flown Apollo astronauts in white suit, All actual-flown Skylab in white suit, All STS up to STS26 in brown suit or blue coverall, spacewalkers in white EVAsuit plus "firsts" ( Eileen Collins, Mae Jamaeson, Glenn in orange,... ) ... Total of 160 ... Had about 40 more but gave these away to young collectors as the file can only hold 160 ... Any idea of Value ?[This message has been edited by Philip (edited March 30, 2001).] [This message has been edited by Philip (edited March 30, 2001).] |

going by ebay and some of the sites that sells sign astronaut photos as my reference, I have seen STS astronauts photo up for sale from $3.00 to $10.00. I recently saw a John Young in Gemini silver suit - sign - around $70.00 as the last highest bidd. I saw a Tom Mattingly in Apollo white suit not sign sold for $50.00 on Amazon auction last year.My opinion, you may...just may...make some money on the Gemini photos on ebay because they are...to me... rare seen photos. I would like Neil Armstrong and John Young Gemini Portrait Photo. I am interested with some of them. Do have the ones I mention on my March 20th reply? Do you also have these people who flown on the shuttle...Andrew Allen, Robert Curbeam, William McArthur, Steven Smith, and Donald Thomas? How about Don Lind photo wearing space shuttle organe suit or blue overalls? Here is my email lunarrv15@fuse.net. Can you send a picture of the photos that I am searching for if you have a scanner? I would like to toss price, like I mention, the ones I'm willing to purchase. thanks John
