I am looking to buy any Polaris submarine launch covers for the period 1960-1970 that have related postage stamps applied. For example, the #1202 1962 4c Sam Rayburn stamp on a Polaris launch cover for SSBN 635 Sam Rayburn for the Blue Watch from the Eastern Test Range on 23rd January 1965.
Another example would be the #C55 Hawaii statehood 7c Airmail stamp on a launch cover for SSBN 642 Kamehameha's Gold Watch Polaris firing on 10 March 1966.
I have calculated that there must be well over a hundred potential hits for these and other submarine/stamp combinations, but I have yet to find one... hence my appeal.

I would like to thank the anonymous donor of a Polaris launch cover for the first submerged firing of an A3 Polaris on 26th October 1965 from SSBN 619 Andrew Jackson which was posted using 5x 1 cent Andrew Jackson portrait heads stamps, which came to me in the post this morning, sent from Newport News(?) Virginia.
