Gemini 4 flown Sterling Silver Gemini Capsule and EVA Astronaut pins made from sterling silver flown aboard Gemini 4 by Jim McDivitt.
Exquisitely detailed Gemini Capsule pin cast from sterling silver flown aboard the Gemini 4 mission by astronaut Jim McDivitt. This presentation also includes a triangular piece of the same flown silver to serve as a before and after.
In June 1965, history was made when astronaut Ed White became the first American astronaut to conduct a spacewalk during the Gemini IV mission. While outside the Gemini capsule, White used the Hand-Held Self-Maneuvering Unit (HHSMU), informally known as the Zap Gun, to maneuver. As White maneuvered around the spacecraft's exterior, his fellow astronaut and crew mate, Jim McDivtt, took photographs of the famous spacewalk, which were published worldwide. Interestingly, the photographs showed Ed White wearing an Omega Speedmaster chronograph watch on his spacesuit sleeve—something that Omega was unaware of until the photographs were published. The Omega watch can even be found on the wrist of the astronaut pin, such is the level of detail we were able to accomplish. The Omega Speedmaster went on to become the official NASA watch used by astronauts during missions.
The Gemini Capsule and EVA Astronaut pins were designed to be as historically accurate as possible, with every attention to detail. The pin smelting and casting were conducted by Just Castings Ltd in London, UK. Just Castings Ltd is known for its exquisite quality and attention to detail, so much so that it was awarded a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty the Queen and currently serves the British Royal Family as a precious metal caster.
Each pin is numbered on the reverse along with our company logo for authenticity using a high-precision laser.

Thank you, Gary. This was a really fun project. Gemini flown pins are as rare as hen's teeth, so I have no doubt they will sell.
The recovery is going very well; thank you for asking!
