These patches for flight use are from a group NASA purchased for Canadian Space Agency astronauts. NASA placed these patches in a Class I flight bond room at JSC. A JSC Parts Tag for the large patch dated 1995 shows single patch removals. (The patches were very likely purchased by NASA prior to 1995.)

This is the patch design worn on the LES/ACES for each CSA astronaut launched up until Chris Hadfield’s Expedition 34 launch, when he wore a modified design Canadian Flag patch. These patches are cloth backed with a small strip of masking tape securing thread ends on the back.
