This red FABU unit was obtained from the estate of Mr DeWitt Westrope, long after it was removed from the Rocketdyne H-1 engine H-5013 that was delivered to NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in 1961.

Mr. DeWitt Westrope was a NASA MSFC main propulsion engineer, who stated it was used for FABU testing in August and September of 1963.

The FABU Heater Assembly, part #NA5-27187, has no markings, but is accompanied by DeWitt's paper released to FABU Heater testing including the resulting Saturn l S-1-77 propellant loading test oronite temperatures that were measured with and without the FABU heater/cover.
