Up for auction on eBay is an actual piece of flown Kapton insulation from the Apollo 11 Command Module #107 "Columbia" spacecraft. The Kapton was removed after its historic first manned lunar landing spaceflight in July 1969. Also, included is an Apollo 11 50th 1 oz silver plated copper anniversary Commemorative Robbins Medal. Asset Marketing Services, working with the astronauts' families and Sunshine Mint have created these Apollo 11 medals using the original dies from the 1969 originals. This never before seen design reminiscent of an Apollo Command Module Lucite is limited to 50 units and the overall size is 4.25" x 4.25" x 4.25" x 1.00". Each piece of Kapton is approximately 3/8". The Robbins Medal is 1.50" in diameter. Each piece is serial numbered and certified by Mr. Ken Havekotte – one of the premier experts in the field of Aerospace memorabilia collecting. Thanks for looking! |

Received my Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Lucite. It looks great. Even though I have several other Lucites with Apollo 11 flown Kapton you can never have too many Apollo 11 flown artifact Lucites! |

How can this be called a one of a kind when it is clearly marked no. 11 of 50 on the front? So your one of a kind is one of 50? |

I have one of these lucite displays. It is unique in its shape and the addition of the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Robbins Medallion. The Kapton foil comes from Ken Havekotte. It is truly a sum of all parts exceeds the whole type of piece with the whole display being very attractive. I was immediately attracted to the piece and I have a lot of flown stuff. I do recommend this Apollo 11 lucite. |

Received my Lucite display today and I could not be more thrilled. It will be the centerpiece of my Apollo 11 collection. I have been wanting an Apollo 11 kapton foil piece for a while and this display is perfect. Most displays you can only see one side. This piece displays the side attached to the spacecraft and the side exposed to space and reentry. The addition of the 50th Anniversary Robbins Medal only makes it better.Thank you Tom for the great service and quick turnaround. It arrived in pristine condition. |
