A friend of mine and fellow cS member (moonguyron) is looking to sell his entire space exploration collection. Some highlights include 1:48 scale models (Mercury Redstone/Atlas, Titan, Saturn V, B52/X-15, B29-X-1, 1:20 scale F-1 and J-2 engines, 1:24 scale Lunar Module, 1:12 Mercury, 1:1 scale Apollo hand controllers, six moonwalker dioramas, signed Alan Bean artwork, 30+ signed and 100+ unsigned books, approximately 100 VCR/DVD presentations, and much more! He is looking to sell the entire collection in one lot, with a substantial discount for cS members. Please see the pics below to get an idea of the collection. A complete list of all items, as well as close-up pics of all of the items is available upon request. Serious inquiries only please!

Extraordinary opportunity for the serious collector. I am selling my entire aviation and space museum that took more than a quarter century to find, accumulate, buy, build, and commission. Very conservative estimates and current advertised prices add to over $55,575. Selling the entire collection for $22,000 plus crating and shipping (U.S.only). That's a 57% discount over retail and a savings of over $29,500.Complete inventory with pictures and prices of individual pieces available to serious inquiries. E-mail me. This collection will only be sold in it's entirety. Thanks. |

Very nice displays. I can't realistically consider the entire lot, but I would be very interested in learning more about, and seeing more photos of, the landers ... both the LEM and Surveyor. If you come to a decision to sell any items separately, please keep us posted. Thanks. By the way, who is in the photo on the Surveyor case? Is that Alan Bean among the three? That wouldn't be the model he used for painting reference, would it? |

What good eyes you have. That is indeed Al Bean, Andy Chaikin and I when I showed Al my model copied after his picture "The Fantasy". That was at a signing in Tucson with Kim Poor. If you look closely there is a picture with me on most of the astronaut dioramas of one of the astronauts depicted in that diorama. I was lucky enough to meet most of the moonwalkers over the years. I did not even realize I had left those pictures on the Plexiglas until you pointed it out. |

You are selling the entire collection. Did you recently get married? |

That's funny. No, but maybe this will stave off the divorce. | |
