Listed on eBay, STS-78 prototype patch. auction ends Saturday.

This patch is an uncommon prototype. I will include the standard patch in the sale if the buyer prefers. According to Liem Bahneman, this is a prototype patch without the A-B Emblem sticker. Here are his comments as posted on the Facebook page Space Memorabilia Buy and Sell:

"I have two examples of an STS-78 prototype, one with the sealed sticker the other with an actual peelable A-B Emblem sticker affixed to it. It's a version without the black stitching in the sun rays, but the same type as worn by the crew early in training photos." He also told me the prototype patch can be identified by the blank stitching in the rays of the sun and red border not going around the yellow sun rays.
