SOLD (My goodness, I had five people write to buy it before I could lot in today to mark it sold. Maybe I priced it a bit low!)
For sale, an Apollo 8 Translunar/Transearth Trajectory Plotting Chart.These charts were made for all Apollo lunar missions, and they are really cool. They show the Earth, moon, and the distance between them to scale. Then they show how long the spacecraft will take to get to the moon, how far the moon will travel while the astronauts are expected to be there (in orbit and/or on the surface) and how long the return trip will take.
I have a nice clean bright one printed before Apollo 8. It would make a great item for Captain Borman to sign - the deadline is coming up in a couple of weeks.
It looks just like this one prepared for Apollo 11, including the fact that mine was also folded.
I don't have time to post a picture tonight, but I could e-mail one to anyone who is seriously interested.
