This sculpture was issued in 1992 and is crafted in fine bisque porcelain, painted by hand and decorated with accents of 24 karat gold. It is titled "Splashdown" and was issued by the National Space Society in honor of the Apollo 11 mission. With amazing detail, this porcelain sculpture is a hand-painted depiction of the Apollo 11 command module at the moment of splashdown with the displaced water dramatically rising around it. This is not a common piece and makes an extraordinary showpiece with it’s high detail. Overall the model measures about 9 x 11 inches. I am asking $160 plus shipping.
