I am looking to buy a confirmed autopen signed WSS photo of Neil Armstrong. Are they worthless or of some value? Can anyone give me an idea of what the most I should pay. They want $1000 USD. |

I just sold one on eBay last week at around $150 in an auction with a starting price of 99c. Similar photos have been sold at around $50-$200 in the past months. |

$1000?!?! Forget it. They are worth anything between $50 and $150 and can also bring a premium based upon the autopen pattern. Some are more appealing than others.Mind you, they have increased in value but that asking is a joke. |

Wow, thank guys, that seems a big difference to the originals. I guess buyers beware in that case. Thanks to Zippy who true to his name quickly identified it as autopen. |

We (well, many of the group who collect these "signed" lithos) pretty much know the real thing from a forgery and from an autopen. If you're not keen to pay the premium for an authentic, an autopen (for some) is a decent substitute. Armstrong's have jumped over the years and quite a bit. By the way, where in Melbourne are you? Feel free to email me. |

Thanks for the tip Mike. I think I'll give this one a miss. It's interesting to note that handsigned Armstrong WSS have come down in price from the peaks a couple of years ago. I saw them peaking about 10k. I think $4-5 is more what it is today. |

Never saw them hit 10K and for 4 or 5, it would need to be a superb example (uninscribed) without fading. |
