I understand your concerns. I don't agree, so if Robert would, please remove all of my items. Now you will have to deal with me directly for the thousands of items I have for sale. You can accumulate at lot of stuff in 30 some years, when I had 20 days off a month with my job. |

While we can all appreciate some people have very large collections and it can take time to list them and come to conclusions about price, you have to appreciate that buyers want transparency and any seller unwilling to disclose a figure only wants the highest price, regardless of fair market value. This is in my opinion not only unfair, but also unethical. If you don't want to sell anything on cS then by all means don't, you always have eBay, RR and other auctions to choose from. But I think the comments here suggest that your approach is not a welcome one. On that basis I would suggest that cS really isn't the place for you to sell anyway, given the quantity of responses against your approach. |

Free market system, let me see if I remember my econ classes from college, more quantity equals lower prices, scarcity equals higher prices, less choice is much better. Does that sound like the old Soviet Union? |

This thread needn't or shouldn't be about any one or specific seller, so let's please try to keep it focused on the subject and not the individual. |

Another suggestion might be. If you are unsure, start a bit high. Then you can lower the price if there is no interest. I am sure many members of cS can tell you I bite on an item I think is high at the onset if the price is lowered a bit. Good luck cS sellers. |

Indeed, there would be nothing stopping you from asking an high price, the only difference is that you're disclosing this price from the offset. As a seller and buyer, I can think of no sensible reason not to disclose the price at the time of posting, high or not. It would be nice to see this discussion concluded and the rule enforced. I think there are enough members backing the reform to enforce it. |

If you note my earlier reply, the proposed rule is now in effect for a trial period. |
