Looking to buy an STS-1 space shuttle Columbia issued flown piece of mission tile in lucite. Thank you.

There are several of these on eBay right now, though the prices look a little high. One has a best offer option.

Although not in lucite, the U.S. Space Walk of Fame has one of the space flown STS-1 tile fragments that was left over from the production of the lucite displays. It is signed by Bob Crippen and John McBride and comes from the personal collection of Charlie Mars who was chief project engineer for shuttle launch operations.

He had several of the flown tile segments that where not used in the lucite displays in his possession since the STS-1 flight. This is one of the few remaining.

The STS-1 tile fragment was on eBay and sold yesterday. There is only one more at the museum and I believe it is going to be auctioned at this years astronaut dinner.

I will, as and if it is still available, will post it here before it goes to eBay.

All times are CT (US)
