I've started a second run of NASA-styled embroidered mission patches for the ARES III mission featured in Andy Weir's "The Martian". The eBay page is here.

Cheers!

Me TOO! Love the book, and love everything I've seen in the trailers.

Next up, my SEVENEVES patches!

Hey, in addition to the ARES III mission patches I have on eBay, I've just finished up designs for the two other missions in the book: the IRIS mission and the Taiyang Shen mission. They are the same 3-1/2" round embroidered style as the ARES III patch, but each has a different design. NOTE that these are fictitious missions, and are NOT featured in the movie version.

Is anyone interested?

Both missions are in the movie and there is at least one logo that appears in the film that I thought may have been associated with the Taiyang Shen. I also thought I saw a logo for the Iris mission in Mission Control, but it went by so quickly that it was difficult to tell.

Just got my patch of the movie version the other day. Looks great.

If you're making copies of anything else used in the film, I'm interested in getting them, too!

For reference, here is a look at a studio-produced patch (credit 20th Century Fox).

The replica offered here comes close but is 3.5 inches versus what appears to be a 4-inch patch in the photo. Other differences: the bullets between the names are stars in the studio-produced patch and the yellow vector differs in thickness and shape.

NASA-style mission patches for the Taiyang Shen ARES III Resupply Mission and ARES IV Presupply/Eagle Eye 3 Saturn Probe Mission are now available on eBay.

3.5" diameter, six and eight color embroidered mission patches, featuring the artwork suggested in the novel. This is a sew-on patch, so you can attach it however you see fit (stitch, glue, Velcro, etc.).

Just got one of each from eBay.

Good looking patches and a good addition to the mission patch that I had off you already. Well done.

Redesigned to add shadows to the two celestial bodies and replace the round bullets with stars instead.

My newest mission patch from "The Martian." This is from the ARES IV ascent vehicle.
