I've just posted on eBay eleven items. Most are astronaut autographs, including signed photos of Edward H. White II, John Young, Michael Collins, Alan Shepard, and Harrison H. Schmitt. There is also a book about the Mercury program signed — probably around 1960 based on the very early signature styles - by all 7 of America's first astronauts. The last two signed items are: - a NASA booklet signed by more than 30 of the German rocket scientists who came to the U.S. after World War II. It's the most such autographs I've ever seen on one item.
- a pair of 1972 documents filled in and signed by Don Lind, listing exactly the type, quantity and sizes of the clothing he was being issued to wear on board Skylab if, as backup science pilot, he ended up flying that mission.
Almost all of the signed items come with a Steve Zarelli Letter of Authenticity.Aside from autographs, there is a 3rd edition copy of Relics of the Space Race, a Purdue University yearbook from Neil Armstrong's freshman year, and even a Tomahawk missile contractor's model. I'd offered most of these items on cS before, and now they are on eBay with opening bids way, way below my asking prices back then. (Most are $49 with no reserves.) Please let me know if you have any questions. $6 off shipping if the top bidder is a cS member! |

Thank you, Derek.Everybody, these items end on eBay tomorrow night (Monday a little after 9:00 p.m. EST). If you are interested in the book signed by all of the Mercury 7 astronauts, please be aware that I have added another photo that more accurately shows how bright and white the pages are, and how vivid the signatures are. (It's getting pretty close to the reserve I had to set for it, by the way.) |

How come the middle name in Schirra looks like a D instead of an M? |

That's how Schirra signed his full name. | |
