SpaceAholic Member Posts: 4437 From: Sierra Vista, Arizona Registered: Nov 1999	posted 08-02-2014 03:45 PM For sale - Thiokol (now a component of ATK) TE-344 Solid Rocket Motor also identified under the Thiokol Spherical Apogee Rocket (STAR) family of motors as the STAR-5C. This retro motor was specifically designed to facilitate separation of the upper trans-stage (containing the payload) from the Titan Booster/Space Launch Vehicle (SLV) 2nd stage. The motor being offered was a a flight ready spare that was fired when its service life exceeded expiration date to safely deplete onboard ammonium perchlorate propellant, rendering inert. $2250 or best offer to a U.S. domestic collector only (no exports on this item).
