I've been lusting after a complete six volume set of Easton's Astronaut Library for a while now. I thought I'd see whether anyone on here has a set they're thinking of selling. This would be the perfect foundation for my small (but growing) collection... Drop me a note with condition details and your price (kgroark@gmail.com). Many thanks, Kevin (I'm a new poster to this community, but have been reading posts for several months now. Just wanted to thank all of your for your collective expertise and knowledge on everything space — I'm getting an education fast!) |

I see some sets available on Amazon and ebay; also there is a seventh volume, 'The Last Man on the Moon', signed by Gene Cernan, included in some sets. |

Thanks for the note. I've seen those listings as well. The prices tend to be very high--especially via any of the used booksellers, who overvalue signed editions in general. I was hoping someone on here would have something that was a bit more realistically priced... |

I've wanted this collection for years but found the prices to be outrageous. I just purchased the astronaut library off of eBay, in fact it arrived yesterday. Price was $1365 (all signed, numbered and in mint condition with COA with each). I found this listing by typing the words Easton and Astronaut in the search engine. This collection was not listed within the astronaut sections but rather in Books: Antiquarian & Collectible. I've seen others list this collection there in the past. I'd continue to search via the search engine to see if this collection is listed elsewhere. Good luck! |

I was watching that $1365 set for a while when it was higher priced and had contacted the seller about the mark on the end paper of 'Schirra's Space' for which he immediately updated the listing. How bad was it as that was really the only thing that deterred me from getting it back then? Is the Cernan 7th volume labeled "Signed Edition" on the spine or is it lacking that detail like the rest of the 6 volume set? I think I've seen it in both labeled and unlabeled form. Not sure what the difference is otherwise? |

The mark on the Schirra book was nothing...will not affect value at all. The Cernan "signed edition" is on the spine. |
