This is a 1:12 scale replica of Gus Grissom's Liberty Bell 7 Mercury Spacecraft from Atomic City. The model stands a little over 2 feet tall. Additional details such as wiring to the escape tower and the cockpit have been added for additional realism. The retro pack is the correct color for suborbital missions, and the 'United States' are in the correct position (they were moved after Gus's flight). Even the 'crack' is accurately painted on the spacecraft. This model would be a great addition to your collection, especially for anyone who also has one of the Kansas Cosmosphere's Liberty Bell 7 acrylics. Several photographs are available showing the model from different angles. I'm asking $275 for it.
