Hi all, I have a few items that I am selling. Shipping is via USPS Priority and is free in the USA. I can provide photos if needed, but most can be found on the cS editors collection website.

First come, first served.

  1. Flown metal STS-98 space station coin - $40
A NASA Space Flight Awareness coin: STS-98/ISS-5A, dated February 7-20, 2001 commemorating U.S. Laboratory Destiny installed February 10, 2001 on the International Space Station. Front of coin depicts Shuttle STS-98 and the ISS and reads STS-98 * INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION * around the perimeter. The back reads: This coin containing metal from the U.S. Laboratory module flown on mission STS-98, commemorates the deployment of another element in building the International Space Station February 2001. Perimeter reads: * U.S. LABORATORY *DESTINY * SPACE FLIGHT AWARENESS * Coin is housed in its original plastic case. Coin looks like it has never been out of the case, plastic case is in very good condition. These medallions were given to NASA and NASA subcontractor employees.

  2. Flown metal STS-71 Shuttle/MIR coin with Folder - $40
A NASA Space Flight Awareness coin made from metal of the Space Shuttle Atlantis and the Russian MIR space station and the original folder it was presented in. The folder reads “This medallion, which contains metal flown from both the United States Space Shuttle and the Russian space station Mir, commemorates the effort of both nations in establishing a foundation for the International Space Station.” The coin is rubber cemented to the folder as it was originally presented. I have not removed the medallion, but from another that I did remove I found the back side reads "This medallion commemorating international cooperation in space contains metal from the U.S. Space Shuttle Atlantis and the Russian Space Station Mir." The side of the medallion I can see is in great condition. The folder is in very good condition with coin indentations from the medallion. These medallions were given to NASA and NASA subcontractor employees. I am also including a STS-79 crew visit card invitation from November 1996 at the Rockwell Aerospace facility in Downey, CA where the Space Shuttle was designed. STS-79 was the fourth shuttle mission to the Mir space station.

  3. Apollo 30th anniversary SFA medallion - $30
A NASA Space Flight Awareness coin made from metal from a Saturn V launch tower. These medallions were given to NASA and NASA subcontractor employees. This is the aluminum medallion and in great condition. The front depicts the Apollo program logo and the obverse has a Saturn V on the pad and next to it reads "This medallion commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Apollo Program contains metal from a Saturn V launch tower used to send Americans to the Moon."

  4. Apollo 17 Franklin Mint Platinum mini coin - $100
Franklin Mint PLATINUM mini coin (10mm) commemorating the flight of Apollo 17. Coin does not contain flown material. The front of the coin depicts the Apollo 17 mission emblem and the obverse depicts a moonscape with astronauts setting up equipment and a LM in the background. The Franklin mint Apollo platinum mini coins are getting harder to find and with platinum prices rising get them while you can. Coin comes in a red plastic case and I have never taken it out (except to take pictures if you ask). Comes with original Franklin mint certificate of authenticity stating that this coin was struck in solid platinum. Platinum was selling for over US$1900 an oz on Feb 11, 2008. A great way to afford platinum, too!!
Thanks - Danno

The only item left is the platinum coin. Platinum is currently trading for around US$2000 an ounce!

Thanks - Dan
