Does anyone have a copy of Turner's "Moon Shot" on Laserdisc for loan or sale. I have the setup to dub it to DVD. The VHS creates a poor quality copy. My VHS isn't gonna last forever. Any leads to purchase the LD would also be appreciate (I checked Ebay!) |

Hey - I've got the laser disk - but it will cost you - the price - a DVD copy for me - if not too much trouble! |

1 copy is no problem once the DVD is authored. I'm unsure about copyright laws regarding moving from one format to another, especially with an out-of-print title? Maybe someone knows! I may need it for a month or so, OK? |

Hi Guys....What a timely subject !! I just today rid myself of all my laser discs . I gave all of them including my Pioneer LVD player to my son !! One of the titles I gave him was "Moonshot" which is a 2 disc set. Before I gave them to him, I copied all of them (about 500) onto DVD. There is NO PROBLEM transferring them onto DVD as there is no copyright protection to stop copying although the material itself is copyrighted. The Only LVD's I kept were the Smithsonian LVD sets of moon photos on disc. I think each disc contains about 90000 photos which is amazing !!I think there are 4 separate discs in that set. I also kept the 6 disc set of archival LVD's from Optical Data Corporation. I have no idea why I kept them ....they are extremely rare and I had a devil of a time getting them plus they were expensive. I guess I should get rid of them too ? Make me an offer if interested ? They are gems but now I do not have a player !! Email me at apollo11lem5@netscape.com . Anyway, you will not have a problem dubbing laser video discs onto DVD !! It is easy. Plus no copyguard protection !! Best Always....Donald Brady |

Thanks Donald,Moon Shot is such a great production, like Apollo itself it was abandoned by Turner Home Video. any idea why? It sounds like you have already done what I was planning. Would you be interested in making a copy for me, I would reimburse any expenses? John |

Hi John....I would have gladly made you a copy but I no longer have either the disc or the player and my son lives far from me. It would have been easy to make you a copy. Best Always....Donald[This message has been edited by apollo11lem5 (edited March 20, 2006).] |
