For Sale...Two real pieces of Test Pilot aviation history. Up for sale are two specimens from the Northrop YB-49 "Flying Wing" (AFSN #42-102368) that crashed on Saturday December 5, 1948 that killed Capt. Glen Edwards, (for whom Edwards AFB is named),Maj. Daniel Forbes Jr., (for whom Forbes Field is named), Lt. Edward L. Swindell, and Charles C. LaFountain. Specimen number one is a 2" long by 1" wide broken off flat piece. Asking $45 plus shipping. Specimen number two is a globlar melted mass (igot) that measures 1 1/2" by 1", asking $45 plus shipping for it also. These relics would look great mounted and matted with your favorite photo to honor the fallen crew. Each piece comes with a COA signed by an Archaeology team member that retrived said wreckage.
