From ESA astronaut Tim Peake (via Twitter): I'm really excited about this live tour. Starting from October 2021, I'll be traveling the length and breadth of the U.K. I look forward to seeing you there — it's going to be a blast! |

Tickets booked, looking forward to it if and when these events can take place. Also have tickets for an event in May already postponed, fingers crossed. |

We attended the live event at the Sheffield City Hall with friends on 27th October.Great evening with Tim on stage with a polished well rehearsed performance. He took you behind the scenes of a space mission with commentary on training, launch and Russian traditions, his family, life onboard the international space station and the (fast and bumby) return flight/landing. It was a presentation with lots of video support, it was in two parts with a short intermission. I never personally tire of the sweeping panoramas of Earth from space particularly on a big screen. "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life" (Samuel Johnson) or words to that effect. Facts interspersed with humour and anecdotes aplenty. There was no Q&A session however throughout the performance Tim answered all of the usual questions and many more besides including the age old how do you go to the toilet in space? What did you miss? the family/loved ones of course. Proper cup of tea he did manage a bacon sarnie in space though. There was a book stall in the foyer with all of Tim's publications and a tour guide for sale. All hand signed by Tim and all at cover prices. Managed to see Tim at the stage door afterwards too (with about 40 others), ever the gent that he is he handled everyone with great care and sincerity. Posing for photos, questions and some autographs. Not sure if this happening at other venues though. |

We attended the live event at the Symphony Hall, Birmingham tonight with good friends Lindsey and Dave Salisbury. During the interval and as we were leaving the feedback we heard was all very positive. Well done Tim. Noticed but never got the opportunity to speak with Mark Hawley and partner and Mike Bryce and partner. |

Last night, myself and wife Lindsey, Nick and Bryar went along to the Birmingham show of "My Journey to Space" by Tim Peake. This event was sold out but we did notice a few empty seats. The show starts with Tim's journey to the ISS and then a 20-minute break for snacks and drinks, etc. Show recommences with Tim on the ISS and his return to Earth. All in all, the talk lasts over two hours. I have to say I have attended many astronauts' talks and this has to be up there with the best. Very well done with humour and great stories. Although I will disagree with something Tim said and that is "Army pilots are the best." We all know Navy pilots are the best as landing on a moving runway on a dodgy sea takes some doing. (And that's from me, a submariner). All of Tim's books are on sale and signed at cover price, but the best value for money is the signed tour program for £10; great pictures in it. So get along a support Tim on this mammoth tour, you will not regret it. |

Today went with my daughter to the afternoon session in Northampton which looked full and Tim has another sell out show tonight, so a busy day for him. A brilliant talk and presentation which Nick (spaceman) and others have very well covered on this thread. Everybody appeared happy and impressed and there was no reason why they shouldn't be. He has an engaging way with the audience. Afterwards I tried to get his autobiography signed but was told that only already signed books were available. After sitting in my car at the top of the multi storey and not moving out of my place with traffic at a standstill we went back to the theatre to see if we might still catch Tim. I remembered Nick mentioning in his post that he was successful at the stage door so we tried the same. No others waiting but an attendant told us he may be out soon and we could just glimpse him through the window of the secondary door. After ten minutes or so with it snowing I put my head around first door and asked the receptionist if it was possible for Tim to sign my book and after checking she said "no" and we were about to go when she then beckoned us back and said he now would sign for us. We went in and Tim remarked about us waiting in the snow and happily dedicated and signed my book and had his photo taken with me. What a gentleman and totally decent guy. We happily returned to the car and could now drive out with no hold ups at all. I suppose the moral of this little story is never give up easily and be persistent. A bit like Tim Peake I would think! |

Great story Kite with a happy ending. Nice one Tim. Two shows in one day he will need the Christmas break. A few more days of his tour remain for 2021 to begin anew in 2022. Tickets still available for some of the pre-Christmas tour dates. Lets hope the snow clears, winds subside and omicron can be kept at bay too! |

Was at the Glasgow event last night and really enjoyed it. Good to see lots of kids in the audience. |
