Space Consult and Technik Museum Speyer release
25th Anniversary of German-dedicated STS-55/Spacelab D-2 mission

We have the incredible honor to announce an public event with the STS-55/Spacelab D-2 crew for the 25th anniversary of the mission. The crew will tour in Germany only to three locations.

Space Consult and Technik Museum Speyer will host one event for the STS-55 crew!

Obviously this opportunity represents the first highlight in 2018 for the Technik Museum Speyer and we feel privileged that 5 crew members will attend. It's very sad that we lost the commander Steve Nagel back in 2014. He flew also on the STS-61A/Spacelab D-1 mission and visited with crewmembers the exhibition "Apollo and Beyond" for the 25th anniversary already back in 2010.

Astronauts:

  • PLT Tom Henricks - STS-44, STS-55, STS-70, STS-78
  • MS-1 Jerry Ross - STS-61B, STS-27, STS-37, STS-55, STS-74, STS-88, STS-110
  • MS-3 Bernhard Harris - STS-55, STS-63
  • PS-1 Ulrich Walter - STS-55
  • PS-2 Hans Schlegel - STS-55, STS-122
Official public event Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 3:00-5:30 pm at the fantastic setting of Europe`s biggest exhibition for human space flight "Apollo and Beyond" at Technik Museum Speyer, Germany with a mission presentation, Q&A and roundtable talk. No autograph session there.

The event will take place in the space hall and will be in German and English language. The event is included in the daily admission of the museum.

More details coming soon as we get closer to the event.

All times are CT (US)
