Darn, I am heading to Chicago on the 17th. Would have loved to attended if it was a few days later.

I am looking forward to this event. I couldn't make the weekend Adler events, but plan to be at the Monday reception and dinner. I was at the 40th event they held, and it was wonderful. The Adler is a very special place. |

It was a great evening. Eugene Cernan was not able to attend. The honored guests mingled for the entire hour and a half reception and were very approachable. Spent a good 10 minutes speaking with Michael Collins and my wife thinks he's adorable. Charlie Duke and Walt Cunningham were full of stories and in great spirits as well. As we were standing with Walt with our drinks in hand he was approached for a photograph. He told us about an event he was at with Stan Musial, the baseball player, and how Stan had a jacket made with an extra large pocket on the inside and he would put his drink there so no one would see him drinking in the picture. Great stuff! So glad I found out about this event through collectSPACE! |

This was an excellent event where we had a chance to talk to all of the astronauts and flight directors. Mike Collins was a hoot and the main reason I went. He offered some great insight and opinions on Richard's book "Marketing the Moon". It was great to hang out with several Space Hipsters (FB Group) and a bonus treat was being able to talk to the Lovell children that were all in attendance. We heard some great stories from them also — the best was how they were named! I am bummed that we missed out on connecting with the other cS members that were in attendance. |

I also enjoyed talking with Mike Collins. It was interesting to meet Richard Jurek and talk about our adventures with our books. |
