Topic: Public photo exhibition in Paris: 50 Years of Space Exploration

Beginning October 1 and continuing through January 1, 2008, there is a large exhibition of very big photos (3x2m) on the gates around the Jardins du Luxembourg et du S�nat (Luxembourg and Senate Chamber gardens) in Paris. It's a retrospective of 50 years of space exploration with about 75 giant photos presented by CNES. It's free and visible by all the people who walk here. This afternoon many, many people saw and commented on these photos. Many asked questions about space history, but unfortunately there were no officials or CNES representatives there to help answer them. It's incredible to discover how many people "love" space. The image with 1958 at the bottom is actually Mercury-Redstone 3 in 1961. Does 1958 represent the year of the photo? All the other dates look correct (if the dates are
representatve of the year taken). |

A similar photo exhibition, sponsored by CNES, is currently located on the first level of the Eiffel Tower. | |
