I am pleased to announce the grand opening of BGEN Bob Cardenas's website where he is offering a series of litho's for sale. A project mostly done by Aviation History group co moderator Kevin Taylor, and somewhat by me. <G> A tip of the mad props beanie to Kevin, the website artist. They are being sold at slightly above production cost and are, I believe, beautiful pieces. They highlight 3 events of his fabulous career: (1) As Mothership/Launch pilot for yeager on his Sound Barrier flight (2) As Chief USAF test pilot for the YB-49 Flying Wing program (3) As Commander of the 18TFW during Viet Nam. He signs these and inscribes them to you - all the information is on the site. Also check out his biography and some photo's you may not have seen before. here it is: http://www.bobcardenasyb49.com Appreciate any feedback direct - as well. Cheers! Al |

Nice website with the most pertinent informations and a very useful "service" part re: autographs and photos.I think there is another nice shot Bob Cárdenas sends out occasionnally, showing him with the YB-49 (I think) over Washington DC. That might be a nice addition if ever you think of enhancing the site. ------------------ Jürgen P Esders Berlin, Germany http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Astroaddies |

Thanks for the kind words - ALL credit goes to my friend and webmaster, Kevin Taylor. No he's not written a book but wouldn't it be a great one? Cheers, Al |

It surely would Al. BGEN Cardenas mentioned a book to me once a few years ago but hasn't brought it up since (despite mucho prompting ). Best regards, Derek

General Cardenas is such a great story teller, and with so many stories to tell... It seems like a no brainer for him to have a book published.------------------ Kind Regards Douglas Henry Enjoy yourself and have fun.... it is only a hobby! http://home.earthlink.net/~aztecdoug/ |
