Just looking at the similarities:

Apollo 13 vs. STS-113

Apollo 13 launches April 11
STS-113 attempts to launch November 11

Apollo 13 crew member T.K. Mattingly pulled from flight for medical concerns
STS-113 crew members Gus Loria and Don Thomas pulled for medical concerns

Apollo 13 suffers oxygen leak, plaguing mission
STS-113 suffers oxygen leak, delaying mission

Other appearances of the number 13:

Apollo 13 launched at 13:13
Apollo 13 explosion occurred on April 13
Don Petit requests new shoes to be launched to station, size 13.

Add to this that the very same week STS-113 was to launch, "Apollo 13" was being screened at KSC.

Not that I am superstitious or anything... :-)

Hmm .. you forgot to mention that
- both missions were launched from Kennedy Space Center
- both missions were launched by a space agency called NASA ..
- both mission's commanders had the first name of "James";
... and similar similarities ....

I conclude: a blackbird has two legs. Robert Pearlman has two legs. Consequently, Robert Pearlman is a blackbird :-)

Thats a given, not really a similarity, in fact its an actual identicality.

Good one on the "commander James" though.

...and I don't quite get the blackbird thing.

I even had a strange dream last that there was a disaster. I woke up this morning at 4:11am after having the dream (it was really scary!).

This morning I read in the paper that the launch was scrubbed do to a leak.

Hmmmm....
