For some time I have been interested in compiling a spreadsheet of names that appear on addresses for space covers in the 1960s that I have collected. My main reason is to try to discern whether the addressees were cachet producers or just collectors, but there are secondary interests involved also.Some names, with a little gained knowledge, are obvious — JR Fitzpatrick, Harry A Gordon, Raymond F DuBeau - all cachet producers for example. Others are a little harder to determine — Dr. Max Kronstein, B Boudwin, Roger Bisch, etc.
And yet even more are entirely obscure — Donald O Schultz, Leonard Edelstein, Charles Rawson, Jon Everton, S Athens, etc.
I intend to start compiling my list/spreadsheet in the first half of October and expect it to be complete (cross-referenced to address, launch, applied cachet, style and other distinguishing marks) by mid-November.
Once finished would anybody like a copy of the completed spreadsheet? And would anybody like to add to the 'research' by similarly adding to the list with their own cover addressees?
