I just wanted to let all you space collectors know that my dad, Ed Bizub, passed away on April 22. Dad was a collector of space covers and autographs for over 50 years. He started collecting right around the time I was born in early 1967. He amassed quite a collection over the years that I continue to add to to this day. Having the opportunity to purchase a couple of large space collections, dad and I started E & E Space Covers in 1986. It was a very small mail sale business where we would mail out lists of covers for sale a couple of times a year. We always joked that dad was the first E and I was the second E. We were able to put many great covers in collectors' hands and met a large number of great people over the years. I believe our greatest find was being put in contact with the widow of Joe Fitzpatrick who ran Space Craft Covers throughout most of the 1960's. We purchased what Sarah had left from Joe's stock and his personal collection and were able to get out to the collectors many of the extremely rare and special Space Craft Covers. We had a great time selling space covers and meeting so many great collectors. Dad will always be my hero and he will be missed dearly. |

E & E was fundamental in shaping this (then) young collector. And Eddie, your Dad was a true gentleman who even invited me to visit his home when I moved to the East Coast. He will definitely be missed... |

So sorry to hear of Ed's passing and my heart goes out to you, Eddie, and family for your loss. Your Dad provided me with a bunch of classic Space Craft Covers that I still have to this day as part of my main U.S. Project Mercury collections. He was always very kind to me in all of our space cover dealings, and as Dennis said, he will certainly be missed in our space cover community family. |

My condolences to you and Ed's family. I bought several covers from him over the years and also had a number of conversations by email. On occasion I was even able to provide info on recovery ship covers He will be very much missed. |
