Well this is not the hot topic and the subject is pretty neglected but I find it fascinating - the old Soviet-style space related postcards of late 1950s to mid 1960s. I believe they very much represent the age of Soviet Union and its achievements in space.

Some are related to space events, others just bear the attributes. Here is a couple from my collection and I will be posting more on my website.

These are totally over the top examples of Soviet kitsch. The artists really had to let their imaginations go wild searching for a “spacey look” as the design of the spacecraft/rockets were still top secret!

They definitely have a "look" though, a very positive feel for the era, exceedingly identifiable. I like them very much.

Efim, what is fascinating for me is that these kind of designs are absolutely hand-made. So far away of current digital impressions without any kind of personality. Thanks for posting them.

They reflect a part of space history that will never return.
