In 1959, the Soviet Union had launched three rockets to the moon.The first, in January 1959. This missile flew past the Earth's satellite. Second in September 1959 for the first time in the history reached the lunar surface. Third in October 1959 photographed far side of the moon. After 10 years on the moon landed the first humans. Here are three of the covers dedicated to this events. Covers were issued by the Ministry of Communications of the USSR. |

Another four covers issued in 1960. Cancellation devoted the first anniversary of the launch of the Soviet space rocket to the moon. Cancellation was held in four cities of the Soviet Union: Moscow, Leningrad, Kiev and Minsk. Here are the four cities:
