Picked up 20th anniversary first day cover of the first moon landing the other day. Strange thing is, it refers to Apollo 12!Has the Apollo 12 mission emblem and stamps that also relate to that mission. It's postmarked 'NEVIS', wherever that is? As it only cost me 50p, I thought I may as well get it for the novelty value. Any thoughts? |

One of a set issued for the 20th anniversary of the first moon landing. Nevis is an island in the Caribbean (one half of St. Kitts and Nevis)Two covers per country issued for each Apollo mission. One cover had a set of four stamps showing scenes from that mission and one a miniature sheet. Apollo 7 through to Apollo 17 plus Apollo-Soyuz Test Project from Ascension I, Bahamas, Belize, Kiribati, Liberia, Nevis, St. Kitts, Samoa, Seychelles, Solomon Is, Vanuatu and Seychelles again. I subscribed to these at the time and was sent the whole set over several months. Except of course Nevis/Apollo 12 which for some reason never arrived! | |
