The NASA employee exchange stores are now taking pre-orders [link removed; offer expired] for a "limited quantity" patch for the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). The patch measures 4 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall.

Also available are shirts and hats with the same design. The orders are expected to ship in December.

Update: The patch is now available for order from ShopNASA.com.

I just received one of the "limited quantity" patches from the NASA exchange store (as pictured at the top of this thread).

There is no label on its reverse, but it is stapled to an AB Emblem backing card.

The European Space Agency's logo for the James Webb Space Telescope mission (it doesn't appear that it has been produced as an embroidered patch, though it has been reproduced on apparel offered through the ESA shop):

AB Emblem is now offering a 4-by-4.5-inch commemorative James Webb Space Telescope patch designed by Tim Gagnon and Jorges Cartes. Design no. 438693.
The focus of the patch is the primary mirror of JWST, the Optical Telescope Element, consists of 18 hexagonal mirror segments made of gold-plated beryllium which combine to create a 6.5 m (21 ft) diameter mirror.

In the center of the patch is the launch on an Ariane 5 launch vehicle from the Guiana Space Centre in French Guiana. At the top the JWST is shown fully deployed in space. The 20 stars represent the 14 countries and six academic and industry partners involved in this effort.

The logos of the three space agency partners are shown at the bottom.

Retrorocket Emblems is now accepting pre-orders for a JWST commemorative patch with a production run limited to just 50 pieces.
Delivery is expected sometime around the third week of January 2022, just in time to see some of the first images from the space observatory.

The Ariane Shop now has this logo available on a variety of apparel and accessories, including a decal, but alas no embroidered (or otherwise) patch.

Liem, this might be the first patch I have collected that has an intentional hole in it. Very well executed and looks great.

About 10 years ago, there was already the well-known "First Light Machine" patch.
