First announced in July 2014, the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) "Hope" spacecraft has had several insignia designs as the Emirates Mars Mission has advanced towards its July 2020 launch.Early insignia depicted the spacecraft as having three solar array wings. The final flight article has two.  
The second design above was updated to reflect the two-array configuration. First UAE astronaut Hazzaa AlMansoori flew a patch with this design to the International Space Station in September 2019.  
The first design above was updated and modified to become what is now the mission's official logo, as displayed on the UAE Space Agency's website and on the fairing for the H-IIA launch vehicle.  
The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre has also introduced this design on its website and social media channels.  |

I was gifted the United Arab Emirates Mars mission patch, Hope. Source for this patch is limited to the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre online store; however, they do not ship to the U.S. Hopefully, there is a cS member with a contact in the UAE who can assist others with acquiring this patch.A special thank you goes out to my coworker and his friend for their kind gift.  |

Logan, thank you for updating the group regarding your acquisition and the UAE shipping restriction for the patch. To Logan's point, do we have members in the UAE or anyone that would be willing and able to purchase the patch? I would be interested in one; perhaps others are too? |

GOOD NEWS!! My connection will help with purchasing patches from the UAE as a bulk order and ship them to the States for distribution. Be aware that is an act of kindness by a private citizen of the UAE that normally is not engaged in this type of transaction. He wants to make people happy, and I don't even know his name. I also want to mention, that I am not profiting from any of this — just paying it forward because of the gift I received.I'm waiting to hear back on the cost and details related to ordering the patches and the method for accepting payment. In the meantime, the general plan will likely be that I will post the ordering details here, then you will email me your order and I will email you instructions for making payment to my coworker. My coworker will receive the bulk order from his friend, then ship your order directly to you. It's not a mission to Mars, but it is a journey. I should have the final details on Saturday. |

Order information: This is a one-time opportunity, so orders for the UAE Hope patch will be accepted no later than Friday, March 12th.Due to COVID-19, the UAE will only ship to the U.S. via International Priority FedEx which is not cheap, but every effort has been made to economize on shipping where possible, but the patches are being shipped three separate times just to get it to you. Payment will be handled via PayPal, so incurring their fees are unavoidable. Patch price: - 1 patch - $18
- 2+ patches - $15 (each)
Shipping rate per order: - U.S. Domestic - $5 (USPS tracking provided)
- International - $12 (USPS tracking provided)
Note: If your order is for more than four patches, an adjustment to the shipping rate may be required.Please email your order (sxpatches@gmail.com) with the following: - Use the above link to email your order, subject should include "UAE Hope Patch".

The transfer of money to my contact in the UAE is delayed until Wednesday, March 17, so I am able to accept new orders through next Tuesday. |

The question was asked if I could order other patches available on the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre store. The answer is YES.Email me with a list of patch names and quantity of each. The price is the same as the UAE Hope patch. I will send a separate invoice for the new patch order and combine shipping with existing orders as long as the shipping doesn't exceed the cost of shipping stated above. I knew there could be a silver lining to the delay.  |

A total of 53 patches have sold. - 29 x Hope patch
- 8 x Dubai Sat 2 patch
- 8 x Khalifa Sat patch
- 8 x Kayif patch
The response has exceeded my expectation, and I appreciate any help with spreading the word. |
