And the description, via Roscosmos:
The logo symbolizes the values uniting the crew and general vision of the profession.

The logo is a full circle in sober blue and white colors. The white symbolizes nobility, the blue – honesty. According to the cosmonaut candidates, these personal traits are the basis for this profession. The view from Moon to Earth is the central element of the logo referring both to the 50th anniversary of the first human-captured photo from Moon's surface, as well as the next target for crewed spaceflights implying further exploration of Earth's natural satellite.

The five-point star on Moon's surface symbolizes landing on the Moon and refers to the beginning of space era opened due to the genius of Soviet engineers and scientists. This is a homage to the groundwork of the Soviet times, as well as the striving for perspective Moon exploration – where 2018 draft cosmonauts possibly take part in.

The International Space Station, Soyuz crewed spacecraft and perspective crewed spacecraft might be the means of space travels for the 2018 team cosmonauts – who have already started studying them.

The candidates' surnames are placed at the rim of the logo symbolizing equality, mutual help and support, team spirit and high motivation of each member to reach the level of knowledge and skills necessary for a professional spaceflight.

All times are CT (US)
