An eBay seller is offering "preliminary patch designs" for STS-114, 119, 120, 122 and 130. Does anybody know more about these?

They are all Tim Gagnon's unaccepted design patches which he produced a limited number of a few years ago Luc. |

I love the STS-114 one, it's such a shame they didn't go with that design! |

Thanks for the interest. I actually had an opportunity to pitch the 114 design to Steve Robinson in 2003. The crew gave it serious consideration but in the end chose to use a modified version of their original design. The other designs were considered but obviously not adopted. I always tried to get a shuttle crew to adopt Roman Numerals but never could. The "C" on 120 was shadowed to pay tribute to Challenger and Columbia. On the 130 patch the "C" was the shape and the R-W-B "X's" made up the mission designation. |

Why is Garan’s name on the 130 patch, was he assigned to that mission at any point or something? Or does it mean something completely different and I'm just mistaken? |

At the time I began work, Garan was scheduled to fly to the ISS on the Shuttle. |

And what about standby LON shuttle missions? Were there any prototype patches for them? |
