Julie McDermott (aka "Mrs OWL") has been beavering away with renowned space patch designer Tim Gagnon on a Space Lectures patch.

I do not at this stage know exactly when they will be available or at what price but Julie does have a sample/prototype and is pressing ahead with production. Numbers will be limited and I understand that Julie hopes to gift a patch to each of the Space Lectures speakers, past and present so they will be pretty exclusive.

After enough patches have been sold to recoup the costs of the project further profits will be donated to Space Lectures' nominated charities: UNICEF and the Fior Di Loto Foundation.

If anybody would like to buy one of the patches please feel free to mail me (rickmul57@aol.com) and I will forward the mail to Julie, or post your interest on this thread. I should have more news soon.

A big thank you to everybody who has mailed me directly regarding the new Space Lectures patch. I have passed each and every enquiry on to Julie who is compiling a list: she will be in touch directly just as soon as they are available.

A nice, must have patch. But shouldn't the astronaut figure have a bottle of Jack Daniels in one hand and an owl in the other?

Julie McDermott has had another Space Lectures sample patch through and it needs a little tweeking. Not quite there yet but hope to be soon.
