As a Kickstarter backer for the Neil Armstrong spacesuit restoration at the Smithsonian, I just received the special patch that was designed by Mike Okuda - known for his work on Star Trek. The patch was made in the USA by AB Emblem.

One of the things that impresses me about this patch's design and its embroidery is that they were able to simplify, shrink and stitch the Apollo 11 patch on the suit and still keep it immediately recognizable for what it is.

Somehow I missed this entirely. Didn't even know about it. Is it too late to donate? If I can, are the patches still available?

The Kickstarter campaign ended in August. I believe the patches and other rewards were described as exclusive to the campaign.
