Orbital ATK Cygnus Commercial Resupply Services Mission (OA-4)

A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket carrying Orbital ATK's uncrewed Cygnus cargo spacecraft will lift off from Complex 41 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on the OA-4 mission.

The OA-4 mission is the fourth of Orbital ATK's cargo delivery flights to be launched toward the International Space Station under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services contract. OA-4 marks a return to flight for the Cygnus after the loss of Orb-3 in October 2014.

Here is the embroidered version of Orbital ATK's OA-4 patch, and the emblem's official description:

The four-sided diamond shape of the Orb-4 Mission patch is representative of the 4th Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

The outer ring of the design contains the name of this program along with the Orbital ATK company logo and the cargo services customer, NASA. The yellow stars in the outer ring and the white stars below the Orb-4 text represent this mission as the 4th of 8 original CRS missions under contract with NASA.

The inner area of the patch includes a red, white and blue trajectory arc originating from the United Launch Alliance Atlas launch site in Florida and concluding at the ISS cargo delivery destination. The Cygnus spacecraft, shown within the red, white and blue arc, is carrying vital supplies and experiments to the ISS and depicts the "enhanced" Cygnus configuration consisting of a longer Pressurized Cargo Module (PCM) and round ultraflex solar arrays.

Cygnus derives its name from the Latinized Greek word for swan which is represented in the program logo depicted to the left of the spacecraft.

In addition, the small white symbol at the base of the inner triangle (on the Earth, left of Central America) are the initials of the emblem's artist, who won an internal Orbital ATK contest to design the patch for this mission.
