Soyuz TMA-19M mission patch

Russia's Soyuz TMA-19M spacecraft will launch to the International Space Station in December 2015. Yuri Malenchenko of Roscosmos, NASA astronaut Tim Kopra and Tim Peake of the European Space Agency (ESA) will join the Expedition 46/47 crew.

The Soyuz TMA-18M insignia was designed by Luc van den Abeelen of Hilversum, The Netherlands. © Roscosmos/Spacepatches.nl

This design is really simple. But it is normal because Yuri Malenchenko-board commander of the crew accepts only simple designs (look at the TMA-05M logo). I think in this situation Luc did a proper job. Congrats!

Got information Malenchenko now is in Houston for two weeks trainings. Last week he got his crew patches on velcro as well as for the back up crew. If somebody have photos please share!

Finally TMA-19M patches by TsENKI were produced but they are not delivered up to now to Baikonur. And there some doubts they will be there for the crew launch date.

In this case TsENKI will distribute them in Moscow and in spaceflight control center close to Moscow. It will be hard to get them!

I got information all the TsENKI made stuff: brochures, patches and pins for the Soyuz TMA-19M were not delivered to Baikonur before the launch. It was an attempt to print brochures in Baikonur. But the quality was so poor that the crew refused to put their signatures on the front page. Some pins and TMA-19M patches arrived there later! About three of them were sold on eBay recently.

ISS Expedition 47 patches by TsENKI never arrived to Baikonur.

I managed to find ISS 47 pin and patch as well as TMA-19M pin and patch recently via a dealer in Moscow. If somebody has by miracle the TMA-19M brochure, please put the picture here.

This brochure as well as this patches are the last items ordered by TsENKI. They will not produce them any more. But maybe Roscosmos will go on with the production in a very limited edition.

Let's wait and see... I will keep you informed. Take care!
