I read on some of the posts that AB Emblem is the source for "official" patches. I have written to AB Emblem to get some 3" patches, they replied they only have 4" patches. Does this mean the 3" patches are not official?

United Space Alliance used to give the 3" patches to employees. Does anyone know the source of 3" patches?

A-B Emblem, Swissartex and Cape Kennedy made 3" souvenir versions of patches from Mercury to the shuttle program. I am not aware of any "official" 3" patches. Dallas Cap and Emblem also made 3" versions of patches.

I believe that the "Official" in A-B Emblem's KSC packaging saying, 'Official 3" Size' means officially licensed? Otherwise it's essentially meaningless marketing.

AB Emblem offers 3 inch patches of the Mercury and Gemini missions. They also produce a few other 3 inch patches such as the NASA Vector and Apollo Program. They no longer manufacture the 3 inch versions of the Apollo and Space Shuttle missions.
