This month my small patch design business, Retrorocket Emblems is launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to launch four commemorative space patches. These patches are commemorative emblems for missions that went without official emblems because they were unmanned test flights: AS-201, AS-202 and Apollo 6. The emblems are designed to call out the primary objectives of those missions. Also included with this campaign is a commemorative patch for HAM the Astrochimp who was actually known by the moniker, "Chop Chop Chang" by his handlers prior to launch. The cost of creating a limited run of 50 patches is expensive for an individual so I am going to try the Kickstarted method to get them produced for collectors. There are multiple levels of reward, from single patches to the whole set of 4 plus the previously released Apollo 4 patch. Thank you for your support! (Just a reminder about the Kickstarter process, you are only charged for the items if the project reaches its funding goal.) |

I got mine yesterday and I love them! Fills a hole in my Apollo collection. I love the kickstarter idea for doing short runs of patches. What's next? |
