Orbital Sciences Commercial Resupply Services Mission (Orb-2)

An Antares rocket carrying Orbital's Cygnus cargo logistics spacecraft is slated to lift off from Launch Pad-0A at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at Wallops Island, Virginia no earlier than July 10, 2014.

Antares will boost Cygnus to orbit, where the cargo craft will use its on-board thrusters to rendezvous and position itself for berthing with the International Space Station (ISS).

The Orb-2 mission is the second of Orbital's eight missions to the ISS under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) contract, which includes delivery of up to 20,000 kg of supplies to the space station.

A member of the NASASpaceflight forums shared NASA's Orb-2 insignia (and in the process, revealed the Cygnus is named the "Spaceship Janice Voss" for the late astronaut).

That would be great if Orbital offered the honorary Voss patch in addition to the ORB-2 one.

To clarify, the above patch is not an honorary emblem (no more so, at least, than the Orb-2 patch at the top of this thread).

For the Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) missions, both NASA and the supplier (Orbital or SpaceX) design their own insignia. The above is NASA's for Orb-2; Orbital's own is at the top.

Official description of the Orb-2 mission patch:
The Orb-2 mission patch depicts Orbital's commercial resupply system for cargo delivery services to the International Space Station (ISS).

The Cygnus spacecraft, depicted on the left, carries vital supplies and scientific experiments to the ISS. Cygnus derives its name from the Latinized Greek word for swan and is represented by the logo in the shape of a swan.

On the globe, Antares' yellow rocket plume emerges from the launch site at Virginia's Mid Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) and circles the patch. The eight-pointed red star in the Antares logo represents the star for which the rocket was named.

Eight five-pointed stars are shown in the sky representing the number of missions under Orbital's ISS Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) contract with NASA. The two red stars immediately below the Orb-2 label signify that Orb-2 is the second of these eight missions.

The gold astronaut emblem on the globe honors former NASA astronaut and Orbital employee Janice Voss. The Cygnus spacecraft used for the Orb-2 mission is named in her honor.

The Orbital logo, as well as the names of its partners in the ISS cargo delivery missions, are emblazoned on the border of the design.

So glad AB Emblem produced these. I just placed my order so I will have complete sets for both Orbital Sciences (Northrop Grumman) and SpaceX for both the company version and NASA version or at least up through SpaceX CRS-19 on that side of the fence.
