Endeavour's 'Shuttle Xing' traffic signs on sale as 'Mission 26' memento

It is hard to upstage something as large and unusual as a space shuttle moving through the streets of a major city, but an orange and black road sign that signaled the shuttle's crossing almost did.

Now, that scene-stealing, diamond-shaped "Shuttle Xing" sign can be yours, direct from the traffic control company behind its creation.

Does anybody know if the signs that are on sale through the Traffic Management site are the ones that were used? Or are they reproductions? $25 just seems a little cheap to me. I mean I'm not complaining but..

Traffic Management made the signs for Endeavour's move but the physical, specific signs that were actually used Oct. 12-14 are not for sale. These are reproductions made by the same company.

The size used on the road was the 48-inch sign ($175); the smaller sizes (for $25 and above) are souvenir versions.

Cool signs, but the shipping cost is high. Based on my location the 12 x 12 sign ($33.00) had $20.00 in shipping associated with it.

You got off easy. Coast to coast for $20? Apparently it takes $27.95 to get 2 of the 12" signs from LA to the forsaken wasteland of Denver. I expect them to arrive via winged unicorn any minute.

The 12" signs must be popular as they have raised the price since Friday. They were originally $25 each; now they are $33 (the other size signs' pricing seems to have stayed the same).

They also apparently adjusted their shipping prices, as after I was charged $27.95 for shipping, I received a refund for $7.95.

Has anyone had a positive experience with Traffic Management? My mother-in-law ordered a 24" x 24" sign on Nov. 24 as a Christmas gift for me. The shortened story is that they sent a 12" x 12", promised to send the right one, haven't sent anything, and now refuse to even reply to her voicemails. She's incredible frustrated for many reasons. I'm frustrated because of the thought that went into it, and because she has not received what she paid for.

I ordered one of the large ones in early December, and had no problems getting it before Christmas.

We picked up one of the rollover signs in the 24x24" size. We have it displayed with our backyard shuttle.

(Yes that is a VAB behind it and is in 1/100 scale. It is the Karsts' version of a well house and is still a work in progress. When we have it completed we will do a full posting on the build.)
