Is there any general interest in space patch collectors for Space Camp patches?

I know that patches are reasonably tough to find from the camps that have closed (California and Florida immediately come to mind), as is the early black square patch with red writing.

The specific ones they made for the movie (which wasn't the actual logo for Space Camp at the time) are rare indeed.

What I'd love to find is one of these. I recently noticed this photo elsewhere on this forum by accident:

Just curious if there is any general interest among 'real' space patches for this subject as well.

The Hall of Fame patches were distributed to the inductees (in addition to the one on our jackets). Somewhat like the Mach 25 patch, it's meant to be something you earn rather than buy...

I was referring to the nameplate, not the Hall of Fame patch.

The Space Store (among a few other vendors) has a very similar style wing, with the NASA 'meatball' insignia in the center. I'd just love to have one like that with the camp insignia in the middle. Beats me why this doesn't seem available, I'd think lots of other folks would want one, too...

The nameplate itself is still part of the Hall of Fame presentation.

Maybe I should have made myself far more clear. I was thinking that the Camp should make that style of nameplate an option for campers to have, WITHOUT the 'Hall of Fame' writing, as nobody offers a nameplate with the camp logo inside of the wings like that, and that seems odd to me that normal folks going through the camp can't get one, again, with just their names under the wings shown...

You're thinking something along the lines of this quicky photoshop job below...

I like it! If I ever go to Space Camp I would pay good money to have a personalized patch on my chest.

I posted it on the Hab1.com forum as well and of course others loved the idea, too. Beats me why they don’t offer the version you created!

The other question still stands; is there any interest in Space Camp items among general space collectors? I know it's not exactly a NASA program as such, but some real life astronauts HAVE gone through the program.

It was a surprise for me to come across this thread and see my jacket name badge being discussed. As the photo already posted wasn't the clearest, I just took this photo of the wings with logo so you can see what you are discussing a little clearer. The stitching on the shuttle is wonderfully detailed for such a small area. Hope this helps.

I just found a very early camp flight suit which not only had the pre-movie black patch, but the red "Alabama rocket center" patch, which I've understood is very rare today. It was interesting to see that the flight suit itself was made by Avirex, a big name in aviation fan clothing at the time.

The Camp patch and wings:

I still hope to eventually find one of the replica "SpaceCamp" movie (note the title is one word) patches sold at the camp in 2007.

Just curious if anyone here might give an insight on whether the patch mentioned in this thread might be a replica of the "SpaceCamp" movie patch from 2007 or not?
