Max-Q's first design of 2012 commemorates Endeavour's planned flight from Kennedy Space Center to the California Science Center in Los Angeles.

We plan to have patches made eventually but we're waiting to see where the ferry date lands (2012 or 2013).

Very nice. I wish I could have been part of the chase team for Endeavour.

We currently have no plans to follow Endeavour like we do Discovery. This is just an emblem to commemorate the event (notice no names on this one). We'll be doing the same for Atlantus' move to the VC.

Still if there was one, I would have loved to be on it. I really like the design.

Nice design Nathan, looks like I'll be ordering another set when you get them done.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I have a list going for anyone wanting patch(es) of this design. I'll let you all know when we're ready to have them made. Shoot me an email (nathan@maxqent.com) if you're interested.

I wanted to let you all know that we made some small changes to our Endeavour KSC-CSC emblem design. While we're still waiting for the ferry date to firm up a bit (making sure they don't slide into 2013), we're planning to have a sample made so that you can see what it will look like embroidered when the time comes. I've attached an image of the updated design. Here are the changes -

We added the SCA and OV numbers (west and east respectively), changed "FINAL" to "SUNSET" to make the gold make more sense without having to explain it and switched "KSC" and "CSC" with an added shuttle-shaped hyphen in between to show the transit from east to west.

A nice idea, though the shuttle shape looks somewhat like an arrow, making it appear like "CSC → KSC" — something to consider.

I see what you mean. It'll probably be something we keep only for the hi-res graphic and leave it out for a patch. Thanks Robert!

Here's the embroidered patch. The payload bay door latches came out heavy in the embroidery so we'll just eliminate that entirely for the order. Fuselage will just be white.

All times are CT (US)
