I spoke with Tim and one of my collaborators the other night and we made an interesting discovery regarding the second STS-135 design (red patch).

Keep in mind that the design was created over one year ago. The red trail is meant to represent both the final flyaround of Atlantis, as well as her final re-entry.

Now look at the orientation of the ISS in relation to Atlantis. It's perpendicular to the flight path of the orbiter. Though not technically correct, it was the only way we could show the ISS in its entirety.

However, for STS-135, the ISS yawed 90 degrees to the left for the flyaround, something that had never been done before. Now look at the patch again - that exact position is shown.

Guess we should make a man-on-Mars patch now if we're going to foreshadow things

But all kidding aside - we've ordered a round of this design, anyone who was interested is in luck. We expect to have them in hand in the next few weeks. Thanks again everyone!
