I need help for the identification of a patch that has a blue background and a red outline and says "NASA 73" and "You've come a long way baby!" There's also a R and N inside of flight wings and the number 12 in the center of the patch. Thanks so much for any help, Marcy |

That's an NASA Nurse patch. I believe Gene Dorr's website or spacepatches.nl can provide you with the details.Tim |

Yes that is exactly the patch in question. Was it ever used for anything specific? Thanks for your help, Marcy |

That's the info I found:"This patch was designed and ordered by 12 nurses who went through NASA astronaut training in 1973. The 12 passed with "flying colors" but were never given the option of joining the program." |

Does anyone have the names of these 12 nurses? I've contacted different "women in space" websites and NASA with no success. Any help would be most appreciated! (It's for a space history project.) |
