Hello all- I have a question regarding a pin I purcahsed at a Flea Market this weekend. Circle shaped. 3 1/2 inches dia. Black and White photo in center with red and blue border on top and bottom. It states "Hurrah for Schirra" in red on the top border. And "6 Orbits Around The Earth" in blue on the bottom. In the middle it has a photo of Schirra wearing his helmet. Anyone know anything about this piece? It appears to be quite old. Thanks JR |

Yes, that's a vintage celluloid pin-back button produced at the time of the flight. They occasionally turn up -- I value it at about $20-$25.Oddly, I have never seen such a button for Grissom's Mercury flight.
